I was curious after doing so much layer work in Sw how I’d do if I tried working with watercolor pencils. I’d attempted them before but never been happy with the results. Working from one of my own photographs I roughed this out and applied the tidbits I’d learned from tutorials with the basics I’d picked up from the graffiti boards. The outcome wasn’t too bad however I killed the paper in the beak area and wound up muddying my colors there so chose not to finish the piece. Best part of it all was I walked away with solid knowledge and some proof for my conviction that techniques learned through digital art can be successfully applied to traditional art.
